A native of southeastern Kentucky, Angela Rice, DO, feels honored to deliver care to the people in her community. Dr. Rice went to medical school so she could come back home and provide excellent care to the people of her hometown. She's always been interested in rural medicine and ensuring that everyone, regardless of where they live, has access to quality healthcare. As a family medicine provider, she works closely with her patients, from children to adults, to build and maintain healthy habits that can help prevent chronic illness, manage disease and aid recovery from illness or injury. Her patients know her for her skilled and compassionate care, and she's known throughout her community as a caring and understanding physician. Dr. Rice graduated from the University of Pikeville-Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency through the University of Kentucky through the rural track, where she received specialized training to deliver medicine and connect with patients in rural communities across the state. When she's not working with patients, Dr. Rice nurtures her own body, mind and spirit by spending time with her family and playing basketball.
