Andrew H. Ritter, MD, is a board-certified colorectal surgeon specializing in colon and rectal diseases, cancer screening and digestive problems. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Harvard University, Dr. Ritter went on to attend medical school in New York City at Mount Sinai University Medical Center — completing his medical degree in 1981. His medical training continued with a residency in general surgery at Brown University in Rhode Island at Rhode Island Hospital and a subsequent fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He is highly experienced in endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery techniques for the treatment of a wide range of colorectal conditions and diseases including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease and hemorrhoids.
