Dr. Andres Vasquez Donado earned his medical degree from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. He completed his internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston. He completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and vascular imaging and venous disease, Dr. Vasquez Donado treats adult patients ages 18 and older. Since 2004, Dr. Vasquez Donado has cared for patients with aortic aneurysms, arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat), atrial septal defects (ASD or patent foramen ovale or PFO), carotid artery disease, coronary artery disease (CAD or atherosclerosis), peripheral arterial disease, valvular heart disease, and venous and lymphatic disorders. He speaks English and Spanish. Dr. Vasquez Donado’s patients enjoy his personalized approach to care. In a relaxed and comfortable environment, he provides holistic, comprehensive evaluations focused on optimizing each patient’s cardiovascular health and maximizing each patient’s quality of life. He was also named a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).In his spare time, Dr. Vasquez Donado enjoys playing tennis, soccer, and musical instruments, including the keyboard, drums, and guitar.
