Dr. Andrea Baratta, a native of South Jersey, who graduated from Paul VI High school. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Nursing fromVillanova University. She returned to South Jersey to work as a Registered Nurse at Kennedy Memorial Hospital-University Medical Center (KMH-UMC) coincidentally where she was born. Dr. Baratta earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the University ofMedicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM). She then completed an internship at KMH-UMC and subsequently a residency in Family Medicine at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ. She served as Chief Medical Resident in her last year. Dr. Baratta worked in family medicine for 5 years in various capacities but always held a special interest in Dermatology and teaching. In 2007, Dr. Baratta completed a teaching fellowship and began a second residency in Dermatology at St. Johns Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY. She also served as Chief Dermatology Resident in her last year. Dr. Baratta is excited to return once again to her roots to serve the dermatology needs of the people of the community where she grew up. She now resides in the area with her husband and two children. Dr. Baratta is a Board Certified Dermatologist and active in several dermatologic organizations including the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD) and the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
