Dr. Paredes is the Director of Renal Research at Miami Children's Hospital. She received her medical degree from Central University of Venezuela in Caracas and began her medical training with a pediatric externship at Miami Children's Hospital. She then completed a pediatric internship and residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and a fellowship in nephrology at Childrenâ€™s Hospital Boston.
