Dr. Amy Merchant Newmeyer is a board-certified general pediatrician with subspecialty certification in neurodevelopmental disabilities.She completed a general pediatrics residency at Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, Ohio and a fellowship in neurodevelopmental disabilities at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. In recent years, her clinical focus has been on developmental assessments for infants and toddlers with developmental delays, including evaluations for autism spectrum disorder.Dr. Newmeyer is an active member of both the Child Neurology Society and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She holds board certifications in general pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics and in neurodevelopmental disabilities from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.In her personal time, Dr. Newmeyer enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
