After completing his medical degree and practicing in India, Dr. Deokar came to the United States to do a Master's degree in Public Health(MPH) and a residency in General Pediatrics. After the residency, he joined the University of Kentucky and taught academic medicine to the students and residents. He has also received a specialized clinical training certificate in Adolescent Medicine while working as a faculty at the University of Kentucky. His interests are Primary care for children from birth to 21 years, with a special interest in Adolescent Health. the practice of traditional western medicine, Dr. Deokar is a big promoter of Preventative Medicine and Public Health to his patients and their families. He is also an avid supporter of Holistic and Integrated Medicine. Outside of his work, he likes to travel, play tennis, try new recipes, and enjoys spending time with his family. His wife works as a Public Health Advisor in the Healthy Aging Program. They have a 10 month old infant named Ishan. Dr. Deokar looks forward to serving your Childrens health care needs and working together to achieve desirable outcomes with regard to your child's health.
