Dr. Fortgang specializes in colon and rectal surgery. His clinical interests include colon and rectal cancers, bowel obstructions, Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, fecal incontinence, ulcerative colitis, and rectal prolapse. Dr. Fortgang received his DO from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Manhattan. He did a general surgery residency, and was chief resident, at Hackensack Meridian Health–Palisades Medical Center, in North Bergen, and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in New Brunswick. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Fortgang joined Englewood Health Physician Network in 2024.
