Alexander B. Lurie, M.D.
Diplomate American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
I received my undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and then my medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago. Subsequently, I completed my Internal Medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. I left Rush for two years to complete a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Chicago. I then returned to Rush University Medical Center, where I was an Assistant Professor in the section of Endocrinology from 2003 until 2009. While there I grew a large outpatient general Endocrinology practice. I also managed a large inpatient consult service and frequently taught fellows, residents, and medical students. Throughout my career I have been actively involved in clinical research.
Since September 2009, I joined Mercy Hospital Medical Partners in Miami Beach, FL where I%u2019ve been practicing Clinical Endocrinology. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
