Dr. Alan Michelson is a hematologist at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and an expert in platelet disorders, bleeding disorders, and clotting disorders. He was previously the director of the Thrombosis Program and Anticoagulation Service and also the Center for Platelet Research Studies. He completed his medical training in Australia before coming to work here at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's. He's the author of Platelets, a comprehensive textbook on platelets.
