Dr. Potluri completed his fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia and his general psychiatry residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Prior to his residency, he had three years of research experience in clinical psychiatry at Belmont Hospital in Philadelphia and St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Kakatiya Medical College and a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry from Kakatiya University, both in Warangal, India.
