The son of a military officer, Aaron moved seven times by the time he began seventh grade. After earning a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Washington, he worked as a mentor for a church youth group and played competitive ping pong. While in medical school, Aaron initiated a community project to prevent pediatric firearm fatalities in rural Montana, worked in a clinic that provided reduced cost primary care to the uninsured, and spent nine weeks in Guatemala to improve his Spanish. Aaron enjoys foreign travel, cycling, backpacking, surfing, and karaoke.
