I knew I wanted to be a healthcare provider at a young age. I felt and continue to feel compassionate about caring for others, making a difference in their day, and solving whatever issue may be at hand. I am proud to be in this profession and will continue to help others in my role.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
A primary care provider should be willing and able to listen to the needs and desires of a patient. If there is misinformation present, the PCP should be able to educate the patient and assist in establishing a plan that is optimal for both parties.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I stay busy with my husband and children, watching their activities they’re involved in. We enjoy traveling when time allows, and I like to shop and read when I find the time.
