What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
As a primary care provider, I am passionate about empowering patients to create and live their best life by utilizing a patient-centered approach to care. I enjoy getting to know my patients and partnering to provide individualized treatment plans that fit each individual’s different beliefs, circumstances, and lifestyles.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
I feel that it is important to treat the whole person rather than just the illness and this often involves looking at mental health as well as physical health. In doing so, I strive to provide a non-judgmental environment that encourages open communication and a trusting patient/provider relationship.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have been married for 17 years and have two daughters ages 9 and 10. I also have two rescue dogs named Hadley (11 years old) and Leia (4 years old). In my spare time I enjoy reading, fitness, yoga, meditation, and spending time with family. I also love houseplants (especially succulents) and my favorite vacation spot will always be Disney World!
